I have been looking at the Give a Little page for the Waikato Deaf Society Inc 2025. Just to clarify, this is not my project; I was involved with Waikato Deaf Society Inc from 1956 to 2004.

They still need more help, so if anyone can support them, it would make a difference. The event is about three months away, and like many groups across New Zealand, they are facing funding shortages. Many organisations, especially those in the disability community, are struggling to keep going.

From what I understand, Waikato Deaf Society Inc 2025 aims to continue supporting the Deaf community. They will achieve this by recognising our language, NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language). They also plan to honour our history, except for the years between 2004 and 2022. This is a chance for a fresh start and to reawaken the Waikato Deaf community.
